ACCEPTANCE OF BUSINESS COURTESIES POLICY
INTRODUCTION
This document explains the general requirements relating to accepting business courtesies and outlines the various actions that can be taken when a courtesy is offered. Employees that award or can influence the allocation of business, create specifications that result in the placement of business, or participate in negotiating contracts or concessions are particularly vulnerable to adverse criticism relating to business courtesies. Such employees should not take any action that could create the appearance of favouritism in allocating the Company's business or that could adversely impact Company's reputation for impartiality and fair dealing.
Guidelines set out below indicate when approval and/or permission must be obtained. This refers to the employee's direct head, Head of Department, Member of the Management Committee or Committee involved.
