DISCIPLINARY POLICY AND PROCEDURE
INTRODUCTION
It is the primary objective of this disciplinary procedure to promote disciplined worker behaviour and to ensure the safety and welfare of all in pursuance of the objectives of the company and it’s operations. Disciplined behaviour refers to behaviour, which is in accordance with the rules and regulations of the company or any of it’s operations. This procedure provides guidelines to ensure compliance with the policies, rules, regulations, standards and procedures of the company and it’s operation. Responsibility for the maintenance of disciplinary procedures is delegated and the enforcement of this procedure must be done in a fair, consistent and orderly manner. The disciplinary procedure serves as a basis of discouraging unacceptable behaviour, conduct and unsatisfactory work performance and is aimed at allowing employees to recognise such transgressions and allow for them to react upon such actions in a corrective manner.
